Susanne Henderson
Born and raised in Southern California by parents in the Real Estate & Construction industry. It was common to find me as a child either out showing properties with my mother or at the construction site with my father. Need less to say it was our life. I never planned to continue in the industry as an adult, even went to college in San Diego and received my Bachelors in Kinesiology & Psychology. I stayed in San Diego running my business in the health & fitness field, with no plans on leaving. Life took a turn and in 2007 the military relocated my husband and I to Virginia Beach, Virginia. Right away we bought a house and that experience dealing with all the other agents at the time is what caused the career change. Our agent was great and we are still friends today but it was our experience with all the other ones and it absolutely mortified my mother who was a Realtor in LA and understood complete professionalism and top notch service. Over the years raising a toddler, my husband always gone & seeing what our friends were going through in the Home buying, selling or property management process they would come to me a say, "Please get your license & help. Our experience has been awful & they seem to not care." Being a prior military spouse the last thing we needed to worry about while being away that our home. Fast forward to another life change and I became a single mom to a toddler & decided to stay in Virginia Beach and went into the Real Estate industry in 2012. My love for people, the industry, & a little stubbornness, I am still going strong & full time helping people achieve their goals or dreams. I have always only worked by referral and still do. No matter the situation, Divorce, short sale, credit issues, general buying & selling, I stay by your side through it all and stay around after to still be there for all your real estate needs.
Over the years while being a Realtor I have received many certifications & designations. They are Accredited Staging Professional , a stage home typically sells quicker and for more money.
MRP - Military Relocation Professional, Being a prior military spouse and having dealt first hand with PCS, Buying & Selling process with my husband at the time being gone & all the deployments it seemed fitting to receive this designation because it is so near and dear to my heart.
SFR - Short Sale & Foreclosure resource, at the time I entered the industry It was not the height of the market (boy did I get a lot a negative comments being a single mom, with no family in Virginia Beach & being a full time Realtor), people were loosing there houses left and right and I knew that it was a very emotional time for many and they needed an agent who cared and understood how to handle the short sales.
CSP - Certified New homes Professional, this was fitting since I grew up with my father being a builder on the west coast, me at the age of 14 running Henderson Construction & the nerd in me comes out when it comes to reading Blue Prints or going to city hall to pull land records.
It is so important to continue learning and also staying current in the industry.
